Maybe I'll use this BLOG as a means to write down the plans for the day... Who knows,
it might get me back on the left side of Steve's Blog page.

Today. Sunday. Marcela's day off. A couple interesting new projects:
* JavAPRS postings by day or by DIGI
* LoopHam Linux on the Windows box
* Wi-Fi running on the old laptop
are crying for attention. They'll stay on the back burner while we rest up and do
some mellow activities such as visiting the new Redmond Home Depot and maybe
even see Men in Black II.

It'll also be good if I can get another dozen or two pictures scanned from the Red Album.
Getting close to done with that project.

It's getting close. Blogs are good. Need more blog talk - but first I'm moving the
display of the entries from www.blogspot.com to my own server. Thank you
Blogspot - you got me started. But control is everything and now I have control.
At least half control. I'm still using Blogger to do the postings. Blogger is very
good - but we don't have control...

Two new projects. And I'm not yet ready to step out and announce them to the world. One's
a new web site - portal so to speak. The other's going to take lots and lots more writing. And
a great deal of experimentation and project implementation. Who knows - with a little luck
and lots of hard work - these will pay off. Regardless it's going to be educational.

It's been a while.

Yesterday was one of those productive yet frustrating days. It was productive because I now
have the Internet Email group reflectors to Internet Newgroups postings working again. Working
better since I'm doing it strictly on the Linux systems and not running the Eudora windows
Email client in the middle. Messages are coming directly to the new "maillists" user account and
being distributed from there by procmail. The interesting part was the 3 or 4 little gotchas that
prevented the postmail script from working. The frustrating part was that I spent hours finding
and fixing the same little problems the first time a month ago. I try to make notes of the fixes when
I find them but this time I slacked off a bit. The postmail part of the project was at the tail end
of getting Internet News INN running and I must have missed the notes. Oh well. It's
working now.

Lesson learned - use the Wiki and make lots of notes!

Hello Bill,

Let me say how very much I enjoyed meeting and visiting with your
parents. I wish that I could have stayed longer. Would you please send
me their e-mail address? I tried my best to talk George into hitching up
and heading South so that I could show them around Pensacola. If you
ever get this way give me a shout. Thanks again,

Hi Roger,

Sure sorry I missed out on the visit. You made their day in little old Kevin.

I thought I was finally going to get to Florida for the first time last fall for
the TAPR DCC meeting - but things didn't work out. We'll keep trying.

You had one heck of a trip in a short time.. Incredible!

Until the next adventure... 73

Here's a good quote. Found this while looking for info on the new DMZ hub.

We're trying to accomplish something"
